The former Google ads chief and AOL CEO has launched a new company, the dtx company, built on the explosion of direct-to-consumer retail. Its premise is that consumers get more benefit when they connect directly with the brands they love, rather than go through the big tech platforms of Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Google.
